Kate Middleton stepped out in London today to visit the National Portrait Gallery's "Road to 2012: Aiming High" photography exhibition. The launch was timed to come just before the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics next Friday on July 27. The artworks are centered around Olympic athletes, and Kate showed further pride for her home country by sporting a dress by a British designer, Stella McCartney. Kate finished her outfit with Prada heels and a $75,000 Cartier necklace.
While at the museum, Kate also checked out pictures of her grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth, at a special Diamond Jubilee installation called "Exhibition on The Queen, Art and Image." This was Kate's second high profile visit this year to the National Portrait Gallery, of which she is an official royal patron. Kate saw their Lucien Freud retrospective back in February.
